Skeljungur hf.: Hendrik Egholm, CEO, resigns

Hendrik Egholm, CEO of Skeljungur hf., handed the Board of Directors of Skeljungur a letter of resignation today. Hendrik has worked for the company for 12 years, the first 10 years as CEO for Skeljungur’s Faroese subsidiary Magn, the last 2 years as CEO for both Skeljungur and Magn. Hendrik Egholm will continue to work for the company as CEO of Magn in the Faroes Islands. The board of Skeljungur will start the process of finding a new Skeljungur CEO, and until that person has been found, Hendrik Egholm will continue in his current capacity as Skeljungur CEO.

Hendrik Egholm, departing CEO:

“The last 2 years as Skeljungur´s CEO have been both exiting and enjoyable. I have had the pleasure of working together with very skilled and hard-working colleagues on changing and improving Skeljungur´s operations, as well as writing and implementing strategies for the group. Abundant projects have been initiated and concluded, and the results have been good. Most of the tasks that I took upon myself 2 years ago have now been concluded and therefore, with a new ownership and board, it is the right time for me take a step back and continue my work as Magn´s CEO.”

Jens Meinhard, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Skeljungur:

“I would like to thank Hendrik for his hard work and excellent results the last 2 years as Skeljungur´s CEO. The company is today in a much better shape than when Hendrik took over, financially, operationally, and strategically. Hendrik has built a strong management team around him, and I am confident that with a new CEO, a good management team and Skeljungur staff, the company will continue to do well.”
