Traffic data April 2018 Icelandair carried 268 thousand passengers on international flights in April. The number of passengers decreased by 2%, as compared to the same time last year. The passenger load factor was 77.2%, as compared to 82.6% in April last year. The number of passengers carried increased in the N-Atlantic market but decreased in the tourist market to Iceland and in the domestic market from Iceland. Passengers on domestic and regional flights were 28 thousand, which is 7% increase from last year. The capacity was 16% higher than in April 2017. The load factor was 63%. Sold block hours in charter flights increased by 54% between years. Cargo transport increased by 9% year-on-year. The room utilisation at the Company’s Hotels was 70.7% compared to 72.9% in April 2017. In 2017 Easter were in April but in March this year.
