IT – INET Nordic – EUSIPA instrument code for Exchange Traded Products (16/16)

Nasdaq Nordic is planning to introduce an additional reference data field to further enhance the identification of Exchange Traded Products on Nasdaq Stockholm, Nasdaq Helsinki and Nasdaq Copenhagen. The addition of a new reference data field, namely the EUSIPA instrument code, has been previously communicated within the GCF/TIP release notification on January 25, 2016.   

The addition of the EUSIPA code has been requested by issuers, vendors and by the EUSIPA organization. More information about the EUSIPA classification code can be found at www.eusipa.org. The EUSIPA code can be applied by issuers to existing instruments as well as new listings.

This additional reference data field is planned for INET and GCF production as of April 25, 2016 and testing will be available in INET OTF and GCF- EXT4 as of March 14, 2016.

Issuers of instruments within the following market segments may add a EUSIPA code to their instruments as of April 25, 2016. EUSIPA codes may be applicable to instruments within other market segments without additional notification.

Protocol specifications

On April 25, 2016, Genium Consolidated Feed (GCF) will be updated to version 3.2. A new reference data field will be added for EUSIPA code. In the first instance, the EUSIPA code will be applicable for instruments of DerivativeType [Dty] 4 = Warrant.

The EUSIPA code is included in the TIP message BasicDataTradeable (BDt) in the field EUSIPA (EUs). The EUSIPA-field is populated with a reference to value in BasicDataTableEntry.

Current versions of INET protocol specifications are available at the Nasdaq Nordic Technical Information website, under INET Nordic Protocol Specifications.

  • GCF Production – April 25, 2016
