Valmieras stikla šķiedra JSC announces: production makes good progress and record-high turnover will be achieved
The financial forecast results of Valmieras stikla šķiedra JSC show that sales reported for 11 months of this year are the highest ever achieved by the Company – 17 % growth compared to last year’s analogue period, which means a new record-high turnover figure will be set in 2015.
This increase turnover was achieved despite the fact that in third quarter one of the glass melting furnaces failed to produce the planned amount of glass fibre due to technical problems, which the Company reported in its Financial Report for the first 9 months of 2015. The technical problems of the furnace in question have been resolved and the productivity of glass fibre production restored. Three glass melting furnaces operate simultaneously, thus ensuring an uninterrupted production process.
The company stresses that the former financial goals for the period until 2019 remain unchanged and are still in effect, as indicated in the Company's announcement of 2 October 2015.
