Vilniaus Baldai, AB will be led by Rimantas Vaitkus

Vilniaus Baldai, AB, one of the largest Lithuanian furniture manufacturing companies, will be led by Rimantas Vaitkus who has long-term experience in managing companies.
By the decision of the Board of Vilniaus Baldai, AB, Mr. Vaitkus will hold the CEO position from 12 May 2014.
Mr. Vaitkus acquired his Doctor‘s degree of Natural Sciences in Vilnius University Faculty of Physics. He spent two years at the university of Tokai (Japan), later had been working as a scientist at Semiconductor Energy Labaratory, Ltd. (Japan). Since 1999 to 2001 Mr. Vaitkus held the position of vice minister at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania, responsible for nuclear energetics, later spent seven years as the CEO of IBM Lietuva, Ltd. For the last six years Mr. Vaitkus has been working for several electricity producing companies, and since 2011 held the CEO position at Visagino Atominė Elektrinė and was responsible for the project on the new nuclear power plant of Visaginas.
