Statistics for June 2013 and the second quarter of the 2013 financial year

Tallinn, 2013-07-03 08:50 CEST -- Statistics for June 2013 and the second quarter of the 2013 financial year

In June 2013 AS Tallink Grupp transported 909 451 passengers which is nearly a 2% increase compared to June 2012. The number of passenger vehicles increased by 3% to 120 299 and the number of trucks and trailers increased more than 10% to 25 775 units in same comparison.

In the second quarter of the 2013 financial year (April-June) AS Tallink Grupp transported 2 352 487 passengers which is a 1% decrease compared to the previous year. The number of passenger vehicles increased more than 1% to 297 042 and the number of trucks and trailers increased by almost 11% to 79 843 units in same comparison.

AS Tallink Grupp’s passenger, cargo unit and passenger car volumes for June 2012 and second quarter of the financial year were the following:

The following operational factors influenced the development in June 2013:

 

FINLAND-SWEDEN
In January 2013 the cruise ferry Baltic Princess replaced the cruise ferry Silja Europa on the Turku-Stockholm route.

ESTONIA-FINLAND
In January 2013 the cruise ferry Silja Europa replaced the cruise ferry Baltic Princess on the Tallinn-Helsinki route.

LATVIA-SWEDEN
In May 2013 the cruise ferry Isabelle replaced the cruise ferry Silja Festival on the Riga-Stockholm route.
