IT - INET PROD – New Auction “Scheduled Intraday Auction” - (55/13)

NASDAQ OMX Nordic will introduce a Scheduled Intraday Auction on certain market segments effective from beginning of December 2013. The initiative is based on member request to increase liquidity in the order books. 

The new auction will run for five minutes at 13:30 CET on every business day, and will follow existing functionality for opening and closing auctions. Information on Net Order Imbalance will be published in the same manner as is the case for existing auctions.

Shares comprised by the new auction

  • Denmark:                      Mid Cap shares that are not CCP cleared, Small Cap shares, First North
  • Finland:                         Mid Cap shares, Small Cap shares, First North
  • Sweden:                        Small Cap shares.

Market segments:

New market segments are required for the Finnish and Swedish markets. We will send detailed information on this in September.

  • Finland:                         A new market segment will be set up to hold mid cap and small cap shares.
  • Sweden:                        A new market segment will be set up to hold small cap shares.

Time schedule

  • OTF in the week starting 7 October 2013
  • Production beginning of December 2013.

Protocol changes

Enclosed a document describing the changes for the protocols:

  • FIX
  • OUCH
  • TotalView-ITCH.

The protocols themselves will be available on the NASDAQ OMX Member Site in the autumn. A date will be communicated after the summer holiday.

Regarding Genium Consolidated Feed, a new MarketStateCode “17” was implemented with the 8 April 2013 TIP release 2.4.5. No further changes are required for TIP.

Rule changes

  • NASDAQ OMX Nordic Member Rules (NMR) will be updated and made available after the summer holiday.
  • The NASDAQ OMX Nordic Market Model will be updated and made available after the summer holiday.
