Statistics for August 2011 and fourth quarter of the 2010/2011 financial year

Tallinn, 2011-09-05 08:50 CEST -- Statistics for August 2011 and fourth quarter of the 2010/2011 financial year

In the first 12 months of the 2010/2011 financial year AS Tallink Grupp transported 9 068 526 passengers, that is almost an 8% increase compared to the 12 months of the 2009/2010. The number of passenger vehicles increased by 10% to 1 059 814 and trucks and trailers increased by 11% to 287 865 units in same comparison.

In the fourth quarter of the 2010/2011 financial year (June-August) AS Tallink Grupp transported 2 977 564 passengers which is nearly a 5% increase compared to the previous year. The number of passenger vehicles increased by over 1% to 378 953 and the number of trucks and trailers increased by over 4% to 70 184 units in same comparison.

The following operational factors influenced the development in August 2011:

 

FINLAND-GERMANY

In mid August 2011 M/S Superfast VII and M/S Superfast VIII stopped operating on the Rostock-Helsinki route. The operations on the route were ended and the ships started a long-term charter.
