ACQUISITION OF ABBS BUILDING SYSTEMS BUSINESS IN
SWEDEN APPROVED BY THE
SWEDISH COMPETITION AUTHORITY
On July 4, 2003 YIT Corporation signed an
agreement whereby it
purchased from ABB the companys Building Systems
operations, which
offer technical building systems, property and industrial
services in
Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Baltic states and
Russia.
The approval of the competition authorities was required before
the
deal will enter into force. On July 23, 2003 the Swedish
Competition
Authority (Konkurrensverket) announced that it has approved
the
acquisition of the Building Systems operations in Sweden. The
Finnish
Competition Authority approved the acquisition of the
Building
Systems operations in Finland on July 18, 2003.
